The training is a unique annual event organized by Ibrahima in Kéla. The best Guinean and Malian talents in Malinka percussion and dance act as teachers during this 10-days training and adapt their course according to the level of each trainee.

Program

The day starts with a 2-hours dance and percussion (djembe, dundun) workshop. A traditional meal, prepared on site, is then served (yassa chicken, fonio, sweet potato, fish, chips, and rice with sauce).

There is free-time in the afternoon: swimming in the Niger river on a nice beach, meeting with the golddiggers...)

At the end of the day, another 2-hours workshop.

At night, Ibrahima invite the population of Kéla so his guests can discover the multifaceted Malinka culture: mask show, concert of recycled items by the kids, calabash music and songs by the women, animation by storytellers, hunters’ dances and songs, show with the griots.

At the end of the training, the trainee in dance and percussion perform a show in front of and with the whole village.
